My name is Ronnie Walker. Born and raised in the Jordaan, in the heart of Amsterdam. As a sixth-generation Amsterdammer, my roots run deep into this city and its history.

I came up through the Amsterdam bar trade, where I worked for years and ran several places of my own. In that time I met every kind of Amsterdammer there is: entrepreneurs, performers, and some of the best-known figures of the Amsterdam underworld.

For more than fifteen years I have been leading walking and cycling tours through Amsterdam. Alongside that experience I studied urban history at university level. So I tell you not only the stories you already know, but the ones that shaped the city.
