Terms and conditions

These terms apply to every tour you book with us. They are not here to tie you down, but so that you know where you stand before you book.
1. Who we are

In these terms we call ourselves "we" and you "the participant".
2. When these terms apply
They apply to every request, booking and tour. Arrangements that differ from them only count if we have put them in writing with you, for example by email or WhatsApp.
3. How a booking is made
The form on the site is a request, not yet a booking. Ronnie checks whether the date works and usually replies within 24 hours. He may accept the request, propose a different date, or let you know it is not possible.
If he accepts, you receive a payment link by email. It is valid for 72 hours. Your booking is confirmed once the payment comes in — not before. If you do not pay within 72 hours, the reservation lapses on its own and the slot is released.
4. Prices and group size
All prices on the site are per person and include VAT.
A tour is always charged from eight people. You are welcome with fewer, but you pay for eight. Above fifteen people it is by arrangement. The boat tour has no fixed price; we put that together per request.
5. Payment
Payment runs through Mollie, by iDEAL or credit card. We do not receive your payment details.
6. Cancellation by you
You can cancel by email or WhatsApp. What you get back depends on when:
- —more than 72 hours before the start: you get the full amount back
- —within 72 hours of the start: we charge 50%
- —not showing up without notice: no refund
7. No fourteen-day cooling-off period
For leisure activities on an agreed date, the statutory fourteen-day right of withdrawal does not apply. This follows from article 6:230p of the Dutch Civil Code. The cancellation terms above apply instead.
8. Cancellation or rescheduling by us
In case of illness, extreme weather or other circumstances beyond our control, we may reschedule or cancel a tour. You are then offered a new date or a full refund — your choice. We do not compensate any further costs in that case.
Light rain is not a reason to cancel; the tour goes ahead as planned.
9. During the tour
The meeting point is agreed per booking. You receive the exact address by email or WhatsApp at least a day beforehand.
If you are late, we wait a maximum of fifteen minutes. After that your place lapses without refund.
Ronnie may refuse someone further participation in case of drunkenness, aggression or behaviour that bothers others. There is no refund in that case either.
10. Age and children
The Pub Tour, the Criminal & Underworld Tour and the Red Light District Tour are 18+. That is due to the content and because bars do not admit under-18s.
The other tours are suitable for all ages. Children come along under the responsibility of their adult.
11. Bike tour and boat tour
On the bike tour the rental bike is not included; you arrange that yourself at the rental point. You are responsible for following the traffic rules and for any damage to the rental bike.
On the boat tour, the skipper’s instructions also apply.
12. Liability
Participation is at your own risk. You are responsible for your own belongings and for your own conduct during the tour.
Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the tour. We are not liable for consequential loss, such as missed flights, booked hotels or other costs.
This limitation does not apply in case of intent or deliberate recklessness on our part, nor to damage to life or health.
13. Complaints
Preferably tell Ronnie during the tour, so he can still do something about it. If that does not resolve it, send an email to ronniewalkertours@gmail.com within fourteen days of the tour with a short description. You will have a reply within fourteen days.
We are not affiliated with a disputes committee.
14. Governing law
Dutch law applies to every agreement. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam, unless the law designates a different court.
